Last year, Elizabeth and I reconnected via email. It was a hard summer for her because of her cancer. Each time that I closed my email, I was sad to know that Elizabeth may not be there the next time that we talked. I called her on the phone several times and she shared her memories about Lynnfield HIgh. We were classmates who enjoyed each other's company. She was thoughtful and shy. She was living in the Washington D.C. area and had made a good home for herself and a friend. She had told that she had wanted to come to our reunion but her health didn't permit it. She told me that her name, "Betty", was one that she didn't go by any more. She liked to be called Elizabeth. She had so many dreams and hopes. I will be thinking about her during the reunion and how wonderful person she was.

What a lovely, bittersweet message about Elizabeth. I had no idea of her illness or her passing. Thank you, Sharon, for this tribute.

Thank you, Sharon, that was beautiful! I am so sorry to hear we lost another classmate. I’m sorry we didn’t get to see Elizabeth at the reunion.

Thank you so much for remembering Elizabeth.  I know I have managed to find little time for my LHS Classmates over the past 50 years, but look forward to our reunion.  God bless Elizabeth!
